Roberto Fonseca: Live in Marciac (2010)

ENJA RECORDS presents the new album by Cuban pianist/composer Roberto Fonseca. Live in Marciac was recorded at that town's festival in South West France. Within just 20 years this small town has developed the most impressive jazz festival in France. For this unique event, every summer, a tent holding 5,000 people is constructed and the village comes impressively to life. The pianist and his group have been perennial favorites in Marciac and have been invited back for an unprecedented fourth time in August of 2010.
Says Fonseca, "Each concert I play in Marciac, I prepare with special enthusiasm and respect. The festival and its audience deserve the very best than I can offer. I will always be grateful to belong to the great Marciac family."
This new album also includes a DVD of the full, unedited concert, produced by the specialist studio Futur-Acoustic, Paris, using six cameras in HD quality.
